The Torrs, also known as The Seven Hills, with zig-zagging coastal paths, offers a reward for every footstep you make. From remarkable sea cliffs, colorful flowers, abundant coastal plants, to the installation of toposcopes will take you to a journey worth remembering. This amazing place and its characteristics were laid in the 1880s for Vicitorian recreation, now commissioned by the South West Coast Path and is known as the National Trust area.

Capstone Hill is a walking path, mostly rocky, that reaches out to sea, and lies between Landmark Theater and Ilfracombe Harbour. The views across the town behind you are great, similar to the views of the sea and the rocks below you. If you’re planning to spend longer than 30 minutes, take your food/drink, because there are no shops. Important note: A small statuette greets you as you reach the top – don’t miss it out.

It is considered one of the most challenging routes in Ilfracombe, a 12 km route path that is great for backpacking, birding, and camping. It takes around 3 h and 32 min to complete the whole route from Ilfracombe to Woolacombe. The journey starts near Ilfracombe and goes through Lee Bay continues to Bull Point, then across to Morte Point, and from there to Mortehoes down to Woolacombe where you can see the coast.

Hillsborough is a promontory centered on Braunton Borrows, known locally as ‘sleeping elephant’ (the shape of it looks like a sleeping elephant). It is part of North Devon’s Biosphere Reserve, an area of outstanding natural beauty and home to an Iron Age hill fort. Visitors can access this part easily as it is traversed by the South West Coast Path.
